Objectives
  • To link existing cycling paths and uniform the paths through appropriate signals and promotional activities that are common and shared  in a way to develop a common cycling path (from Munich to Venice passing through Innsbruck, Brenner Pass, Isarco Valley, Bolzano, Pusteria Valley, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Belluno and Treviso);
  • Identify and plan tour packages according to the different targets with the direct involvement of the local accommodation and tour facilities as well as tour associations and corresponding consortia;
  • Define marketing and sales strategies for the tour packages in synergy with the different partners in order to provide a unified service to the customer and increase the supply value;
 

 
Results

Activation of the partnership network and planning of all the project phases: project management, planning of the activities, scheduling of timing and resources;  coordination and administrative management of all the project activities. Analysis of the status and conditions of the cycling paths: functional analysis (conditions and characteristics of the paths, possible ways for specific use, tour attractions, etc.); analysis of the actual and potential targets; mapping of the paths; analysis of the methods for the promotion and communication used in the different territorial contexts. Design of a development plan and implementation of the “Ciclovia dell’Amicizia”: planning of the interconnection aspects (signals, links, sites of interest, tour satellite activities etc); planning of tour products both in terms of interested targets (present and potential) and of supply (tour packages, ad hoc initiatives, special events) keeping into consideration the different territorial contexts and the different degrees of evolution of the paths.

Definition of a web marketing and communication plan for the promotion and the dissemination of “Ciclovia dell’amicizia” in order to enhance the local and territorial peculiarities

Launch and promotion of “Ciclovia dell’amicizia” through promotional campaigns, special events, media and press and through the support of tour operators and associations.

Monitoring and evaluation of the project results
